Kaplica is a friendly beautiful village in the Famagusta District of Cyprus, located on the northern coast, east of Kyrenia, Its location is unparalleled, as it sits away from crowded coastal developments on its own Kaplica Bay, at the gateway to the famous Karpaz Peninsula, and below the Crusader Kantara Castle and the conservation area forests. It is under de facto control of Northern Cyprus, forming part of its İskele District.
Owing to its location between the mountains, the forests and the sea, its horse shoe bay with clear blue waters and soft white sand, sheltered by headlands on either side making its beach one of the best on the island , ideal for beach lovers and for water sports activities – in addition to the presence of thermal springs in its forest nature reserves surroundings, the village started to develop with the tourism industry in the early 1970’s and became home to a small coastal hotel at that time.
Today, Kaplica is celebrated as a beautiful, but serene coastal holiday resort, amidst breathtaking natural surroundings, with a large beach restaurant and bar, a hotel, and a variety of beach villas and bungalows.
Kaplica Village and Kaplica Beach lie on the excellent new North Coastal Road, and are strategically located in the island, 45 minutes’ drive from Kyrenia, and Farmagusta and 60 minutes’ drive from Nicosia.
Kaplica’s easy links to all areas of North Cyprus makes this a highly desirable place in which to live, holiday, or invest in property.
